CUARTET is an original ensemble of recent constitution that intends to propose in a new  dimension of tone Brazilian and Argentinean XXth century music, with the intention of promoting the more cultured aspect of Brazilian music of composers such as Villa Lobos, Gnattali, Jobim, Gismonti, Pixinguinha and the less known aspects of Argentinean music of Piazzolla and Guastavino.

The different musical origins of the musicians allows a truly original vision of this repertoire and this proposal is having success in various European countries among different audiences. Their CD “Brasilar” is having a great success of public and critics.

ROBERTO PORRONI is one of the most well known concert guitarists. He has won a number of youth competitions and completed his advanced studies with Julian Bream and John Williams, he recorded his first LP in 1977.

In 1978 he was personally invited by Andrés Segovia in Spain hence starting a brilliant international career which multiplied his performances in all Europe, in North America, in Latin America and in Africa, playing for the major concert institutions, from Musikverein in Vienna to the Philharmonic Orchestra of St. Petersburg, from Oji Hall in Tokyo to the Colon Theatre of Buenos Aires. He has intense recording and musical activity ( he has already recorded twelve CDs and the first complete edition of Niccolò Paganini guitar works are his ). He graduated at the “Università Statale di Milano” with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a thesis on the History of Music.

ADALBERTO FERRARI is a clarinettist, a saxophonist, a multi-instrumentalist  and a composer. An eclectic musician dedicated to different genres and is above all active in the Classical and Jazz music. He graduated in Clarinet (Second Level Degree) and jazz music. He teaches clarinet at the Conservatoire, as a soloist plays with different groups in prestigious concert halls and theatres in China,  the United States, Russia, Moldavia, Finland, England, Hungary, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. He has recorded for various radios and television networks in different musical circles and has a lot of recording under his name or as collaborations.

MARIJA DRINCIC was born in Belgrade in 1981, where she began her studies at the age of 8, she has a Conservatory Degree. In 1998 she participated at the Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan ( USA ) and was chosen for the World Youth Orchestra. Moving to Italy she attained an Academic Degree with full grades at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome. She completed her studies at the Stauffer Academy of Cremona, the School of Music in Fiesole and at “Antiruggine” with Mario Brunello. She won a number of international awards as a soloist and in string quartets. Since 2003 she has collaborated with “Orchestra del Teatro Regio” in Parma, she is first cello of the Orchestra “Accademia del Teatro Scala”, and of the Orchestra “Università degli Studi di Milano”. She has collaborated with “Virtuosi Italiani” since 2006.

MARCO RICCI, who was selected in 1990 for the European Jazz Orchestra of Young Talents, is today certainly one of the sidemen most sought-after in Italy. He has played with some of the best musicians on the national and international scene, like Don Friedmann, Billy Cobham, Chico Freeman, Paolo Fresu, Bob Mintzer, Paolo Silvestri; he also works in television programmes , further more he collaborated with big names of the Italian song industry, from Enzo Janacci to Bruno Lauzi. His recordings include about 90 CDs in which he appears along side of musicians such as Don Friedmann, John Stowell, Franco Cerri, Franco Ambrosetti and Mike del Ferro. He graduated at the Verdi Conservatory of Como and has a degree in “Musica Jazz” at the Verdi Conservatory of Milan, he teached Jazz Doublebass at the Paganini Conservatory in Genoa.
